What’s the best thing about the Duke of Somerset? The friendly faces waiting to welcome you and take care of you? How about the fantastic selection of local and imported wines and beer? Our deliciously modern take on pub fare classics? Our amazing streetside patio? Or maybe it’s just that we think your pub experience with us should be nothing short of perfect every time.
The Duke of Somerset is located on Bay Street, surrounded by Yonge Dundas Square, Ryerson University, Ontario Government offices, major tourist shopping and Toronto’s main hospital network. The pub is the perfect neighbourhood stop for a weekday lunch, weekend brunch or cocktails in the evening. The highlight of the Somerset is the portico-style patio, which is heated so the outdoors can be enjoyed for three seasons of the year. The after-work patrons in the neighbourhood make sure the Somerset is always buzzing after 5 p.m.

We offer an ever-evolving variety of draught beer, guaranteed fresh and clean so it’s the best beer you can find in the city. Our lines are cleaned at least once every four weeks, and every Duke Pub is audited once a month to ensure our beer is stored, poured and served properly. Keg rotation, freshness, fridge cleanliness and temperatures are all checked to ensure we serve the best draught beer we can.
